Tycoon ‘a threat to national security’
The government has revoked the Thai citizenship of Cambodian senator Ly Yong Phat over alleged links to scam networks and seized assets worth 70 million baht in Thailand.
Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul signed an Interior Ministry announcement revoking the Thai citizenship of Phat Supapha, more commonly known as Ly Yong Phat, yesterday due to his alleged continued use of his Cambodian nationality and involvement with transnational scam networks.
According to the announcement, Mr Phat, a naturalised Thai citizen, has continued to use his Cambodian citizenship.
