Hospital admits blood error

The hospital that first treated the man who died after a concrete slab fell on his car on Rama II Road this week has admitted it administered him the wrong blood type.

The 46-year-old man identified as Amnat Thongkham died at Samut Sakhon Hospital at about 9pm Tuesday after suffering a ruptured liver and bleeding in his abdomen. He was transferred from Vibharam Samutsakhon Hospital.
Thanakrit Jitareerat, vice-minister at the Public Health Ministry, said yesterday that Vibharam Samutsakhon Hospital had given him the wrong blood type.
