Estate authority seeks Japanese expertise
Bangkok Post
|September 03, 2025
The Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) is strengthening cooperation with Japanese authorities and entrepreneurs to better promote growth of targeted industries amid the country’s shift to clean energy.
Closer collaboration between the two countries will lead to skills training for workers in factories and greater use of modern technology, both of which are crucial to improve efficiency in the Thai manufacturing sector, said Atthapol Nithissultornwit, assistant to the IEAT governor.
Thailand is promoting investment in targeted industries, including next-generation cars, smart electronics, medical equipment and renewable energy.
“We are interested in transitioning from fossil fuels to renewables such as solar and wind power, along with hydropower,” said Mr Atthapol.
