The Democrat Party has officially scheduled its extraordinary general meeting to elect a new leader and executive committee for Oct 18.

- AEKARACH SATTABURUTH

Yesterday, the party’s acting executive committee convened to prepare for the meeting. Several members joined remotely, including acting secretary-general Dech-it Khaothong, who participated from Songkhla due to prior commitments.

Speaking after the meeting, acting party leader Pramuan Pongthawaradej said nominations for party leader will be accepted at the meeting, which will be held at the Miracle Grand Hotel in Bangkok.

Mr Pramuan said the transition will be completed smoothly, expressing confidence that the meeting will be free of internal divisions, with all members working together for the future of the party and the Thai people.
