Court asked to review its Senate ruling
Bangkok Post
|November 19, 2025
A group of reserve senators yesterday submitted an appeal to the Supreme Court against its earlier decision to dismiss their petition to suspend 136 sitting senators allegedly involved in last year's Senate election rigging case.
Led by Surachai Pornjindachote, the group said it was confident the original ruling contained several factual and legal inaccuracies they now aim to clarify in their appeal, particularly their assertion that the 2024 Senate election has not yet been completed.
The Election Case Division of the Supreme Court on Nov 3 dismissed their petition on the grounds that it could not be considered once the Election Commission (EC) formally endorsed the results on July 10, 2024.
