Cambodia 'will pay' for artefacts' return

Cambodia has expressed willingness to cover the costs of transporting 20 ancient artefacts from Thailand, according to Cambodian Minister of Culture and Fine Arts Phoeurng Sackona.
In a letter to Thailand’s newly appointed culture minister, Paetongtarn Shinawatra, Ms Phoeurng said Cambodia would finance the return itself, and there was no need to wait for Thailand to act, the Khmer Times reported yesterday, citing AKP.
Earlier on Friday, Ms Paetongtarn, who was recently suspended from the premiership, announced that the handover would be delayed due to budgetary constraints.
