Vacheron Constantin's Grand Lady Kalla now shimmers in emerald, ruby and sapphire

- STORY: KANOKPORN CHANASONGKRAM

At the inaugural Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève in 2001, Vacheron Constantin took home two awards when a dazzling white gold Lady Kalla was named the winner of the jewellery watch prize along with the prestigious Aiguille d'Or.

The iconic Kalla debuted in yellow gold with 108 emerald-cut diamonds for a total of approximately 30 carats in 1980.

Over the years, Vacheron Constantin has built on the noble lineage, with reinterpretations given the title Lord, Duchesse and even crowned King and Queen Kalla.

In April 2024, it was about time to introduce the Grand Lady Kalla, not only as a wristwatch, but a versatile four-in-one high jewellery.

It didn't take that long for a sequel, and in late 2025, the Geneva-based brand unveiled a trio with emeralds, rubies or sapphires that reflect on how coloured gemstones have been an integral part of its designs since the 1920s.

Notably, the four elements of the Grand Lady Kalla echo the Art Deco style that flourished in this decade.
