Bissoli’s penalty rescues champs Buriram

Guilherme Bissoli's late penalty salvaged a 1-1 draw for 10-man Buriram United against Cong An Ha Noi on Wednesday night, as the titleholders claimed a point in a rerun of last season's Asean Club Championship (Shopee Cup) final at Buriram Stadium.

Bissoli converted from the spot in stoppage-time after Stefan Mauk was judged to have handled the ball inside the area for the Vietnamese side, who had taken the lead in the 10th minute of the crucial Group A clash through Leo Artur.

Robert Zulj's red card six minutes into the second half added to the difficulty of the task facing the champions, but Bissoli's cool finish ensured Buriram remain unbeaten in the competition.
