Activist presses Amlo over MP's alleged gambling links

Crime victims’ rights activist Atchariya Ruengrattanapong yesterday submitted new financial evidence to the Anti-Money Laundering Office (Amlo), urging further investigation into suspected illegal gambling and money-laundering activities involving Klatham MP for Songkhla, Chonnapat Naksua.

Mr Atchariya, chairman of the Help Crime Victims Club, said he had asked Amlo to consider seizing more than 2.5 billion baht in assets on the basis of money trails dating back to 2020, which the activist believes form part of a network connected to the MP. Suspected cash flows within the network are thought to exceed 15 billion baht.
