WoSFL set for change in setup

It's all change in the West of Scotland League next season with a minimum of eight teams set to be promoted to a newly formed Lowland League West.

Promotion spots will be offered to SFA licensed clubs but with only seven WoSFL Premier clubs currently holding licences the race is on for others to join them.

Auchinleck, Cumnock, Glenafton, Kilwinning, Pollok, Rutherglen and St Cadoc’s are the only clubs who currently meet the criteria to take their place alongside Albion Rovers, Caledonian Braves, Clydebank, Cumbernauld Colts and Gretna 2008.

The new season kicks off on Saturday, July 26 when Premier fixtures are: Arthurlie v St Cadoc's; Cumnock v Largs; Drumchapel v Rutherglen; Hurlford v Auchinleck; Kilwinning v Johnstone Burgh; Pollok v Beith; Renfrew v Troon; Shotts v Glenafton.

That's followed by midweek games: Glenafton v Hurlford (Tues); Largs v Drumchapel; Auchinleck v Pollok; Johnstone Burgh v Cumnock; Renfrew v Kilwinning; Troon v St Cadoc’s (all Wed 30th).
