The wrecking ball has finally been taken to the last of Ayr's Riverside flats.
It ends the long running saga which has held up progress on a £17.2 million housing development overlooking the water.
Red-faced council chiefs were forced to leave the ghost tower in place for three years after a stalemate with phone giant EE over the company's telecoms masts on top of the building.
