Gartcairn co-boss Ryan McStay has targeted an instant return to the West of Scotland Premier Division after relegation - but says reconstruction will likely bring them back up anyway.

The Airdrie club are on the verge of securing an SFA Licence, meaning they would be eligible for a place in the proposed Lowland League West Division.

But McStay wants to win the First Division title anyway as he bids to rebuild the MTC Park side.

But he says being relegated might not be the worst thing to happen to Gartcairn.
