Exhibition showcase full of fun

A fantastic family event that went down a storm in Coatbridge last year is making a welcome return this weekend - with even more fabulous fun lined up.

Mackinnon Mills will once again host a Hobby Exhibition on September 13 and 14 and dozens of different enthusiastic hobby clubs and traders will be on hand.

The exhibitions will include remote-controlled cars, buggies, crawlers, boats, model railways, plastic modelling and aircraft.

Organiser Frank Revell gave a taste of what extra treats are in store for the event's return, telling the Advertiser: "The aquatics team in Mackinnon Mills are donating water tanks so we will be able to put the model boats into water.

"There will be more space for the car exhibits and new static displays.

"Model Bus Scotland are bringing along model dioramas and other people will have truck dioramas.
