Customer landed on car bonnet

A McDonalds customer landed on a car bonnet after the vehicle hit him in the restaurant car park.

Airdrie Sheriff Court heard Michael Renicks drove away with the man clinging on “Indiana Jones-style”.

Fortunately, the pedestrian wasn't injured during the incident at the fast food outlet in Coatbank Street, Coatbridge.

Renicks, 31, of Albion Court, Coatbridge, was fined £420, banned from driving for a year and ordered to resit his test.

He admitted driving dangerously on May 28, 2023.
