Airdrie poor in dismal draw in Dunfermline

Everyone in the Championship bottom four is in limbo as Hamilton Accies appeal a 15-point deduction that is currently relegating them, and Airdrie will be in the play-off slot if they fail.

Strapp admits the game won't live long in the memory, but Airdrie did what they could.

Mason Hancock had a shot saved by Tobi Oluwanyemi in 26 minutes, and two minutes later a curling Adam Frizzell shot was headed off the line by Kyle Benedictus, as the visitors tried to take the upper hand.

Hancock had a header thumped off the line, with Airdrie claiming it had crossed, but that fell on deaf ears.

Cade Melrose saved a Craig Clay effort as Dunfermline threatened in 33 minutes.
