Radwan's aiming to fly high with Falcons

DESPITE finishing bottom and with relegation set to return in next season’s top flight, Newcastle Falcons winger Adam Radwan insists his side are looking up the table under a new coaching staff led by Alex Codling.

Newcastle experienced a rocky campaign with victories over Leicester and a double over Gloucester, compounded by a miserable end to the season that saw them suffer five consecutive defeats whilst shipping a woeful 226 points, an average of 45 per game.

But Radwan is encouraged by the new regime led by Codling and with a multitude of new signings including Tim Cardall (Melbourne Rebels), Rory Jennings (London Irish) and Eduardo Bello (Saracens), he believes it’s an exciting time for the Premiership’s most northern team.

He said: “It’s really exciting. It’s going to be a very tough year. I think the Premiership in recent years has got more and more competitive and I think next year will be the same. Realistically anyone can beat anyone on their day, look at some of the results from last year. Everyone wants to play in a tough league.
