Yeovil’s Rhys Murphy thought he’d scored with minutes remaining to gain his side the point they needed to secure the title, but it was disallowed before Ollie Pearce, scored with the final kick of the game.

Yeovil manager Mark Cooper said: “If you’ve never been a winner and you’ve never got it over the line, then you’ll feel some nerves and we’ve only got a couple of players that have won something.”

Yeovil started the game strongly but failed to convert a number of good chances, Pearson in particular firing a gilt-edged chance over the bar in the game’s opening minutes.
