ANSU JANNEH'S sublime strike set Braintree Town on the way to a priceless victory over Eastbourne Borough and secured their place in National League South play-off positions in their penultimate game of the season.

"I'm proud of the players and delighted for our fans," Braintree boss Angelo Harrop said.

"We knew it was going to be a tough game today but the players dug in and held their nerve especially going down to 10 men towards the end.

"It's been a great season for the club with our Essex Senior Cup triumph and now securing our place in the play-offs is something we can all be proud of but we need to knuckle down and prepare to give us the best possible chance in the play-offs."
