BEN STREVENS hailed his Dagenham & Redbridge as they went toe-to-toe with a strong West Ham United side.

Ulitmately, Andy Irving’s stunning strike saw Daggers’ winless preseason run extended to three games against a Hammers side packed with first team players.

But Strevens, who has made ten new signings so far this summer, reflected positively.

“Any team in our level playing against Premier League opposition that can limit to scoring just one goal proved we did a lot of things right,” Strevens told The NLP.

“I want to integrate the team in the best way possible and build those relationships by balancing out minutes across the squad.
