Smith accepts club's fate after failed appeal
BISHOP'S Stortford boss Steve Smith says it's time to embrace their new adventures in the north.
The Isthmian Premier title winners situated just a goal kick away from London Stansted Airport - saw their appeal against being placed in the National League North rejected.
An appeal board ruled it a marginal call while the Blues spent two seasons in the division between 2011 and 2013 and stuck with the FA's original placement.
Smith, who is also the Hertfordshire club's owner, felt the Blues put together a strong case – but knows there’s no point dwelling on it now.
“We’ve got to move on as a club,” Smith told The NLP. “Listen, we’re disappointed with the decision, I’ve got to be honest. We put a really good appeal together against it and I thought we had a really good case.
