MARK MOLESLEY says going back to his roots to manage Hayes & Yeading is like a "dream come true."

- Jon Couch

BACK MAKING A MARK WHERE IT ALL BEGAN

The 42-year-old started his senior career at the old Hayes FC before becoming a fans' favourite with the likes of AFC Bournemouth, Aldershot Town and Exeter City.

Now, the former midfielder has gone full circle in returning to manage the club in its new guise and he's planning on recapturing its former glories. Molesley arrives at the Southern League Premier South club as firstteam manager, working alongside previous incumbent, and brother-inlaw, Ritchie Hanlon.

And the former Weymouth, Aldershot and Gosport Borough chief says there is no place he would rather be with the ambitious Middlesex club in the throws of building the foundations towards a healthy future.

"Hayes is where it all started for me, it's a very special place," Molesley told The NLP.

"Terry Brown gave me my senior debut here as an 18-year-old and I spent many happy years here, so this is something of a homecoming.
