Passion Intertwined with Perseverance: The Inspiring Journey of Poly Patnaik
The belief that passion intertwined with perseverance has the power to shape destinies finds its finest embodiment in Poly Patnaik. A visionary educator and trailblazer, she has redefined learning in India, transforming education into a force for empowerment.
From Humble Beginnings to a Visionary Institution
In 1991, with just 30,000 and 14 students, Patnaik, a former college lecturer, took a leap of faith and founded Prakrit. What began as a small classroom has since evolved into Mother's Public School, a prestigious senior secondary institution educating over 6,000 students across five campuses in Puri, Cuttack, Unit 1, Khandagiri (Bhubaneswar), and Pahal (Bhubaneswar). Today Mother's Public School is more than an institution—it is a symbol of hope, opportunity, and transformation.
Patnaik's contributions to education have garnered widespread recognition. Her many accolades include the Global Principal Award 2021 by Star Global Awards and the Times Power Odisha Award 2021, CBSE Teacher's Award 2009 by former HRD Minister Kapil Sibal and the National Award for Teachers 2012, presented Shri Pranab Mukherjee. In addition, on the 70th birth anniversary of Late Shri Rajiv Gandhi, she received the Rajiv Gandhi Rashtriya Ekta Samman in New Delhi, and more recently, she was bestowed with the Black Swan Award for 2020-21.
