AMERICA'S BEST ONLINE SHOPS 2024

While e-commerce retail sales dropped since peaking at 19 percent in 2020, the share is back up to 15 percent-still higher than pre-pandemic levels. Newsweek has once again partnered with respected global data research firm Statista to evaluate retailers based on a multitude of criteria that hold significance for shoppers. These factors include user-friendliness, security measures and the likelihood of making a purchase, as reported by consumers. Our rankings recognize 1,000 online shops across 39 categories in eight industries. The "Single Brand Fashion" category has the largest number of recognized shops, with 97 making the list. The "Fashion & Accessory" industry achieved the highest average scores, with sephora.com emerging as the leader across all dimensions we assessed. No matter what you're looking for, this ranking is here to help you find the best online stores when shopping for yourself and your family.
