The upcoming Spring 2025 Season of the Symphony Orchestra of India at NCPA, Mumbai-headlined by Maestro Zubin Mehta and Sir Mark Elder-promises a host of international performers

The Symphony Orchestra of India (SOI) will enthral audiences with its Spring 2025 Season, running from Jan. 25 to Feb. 15. Featuring the legendary Zubin Mehta and the SOI debut of Sir Mark Elder, the season promises a rich array of symphonic and concerto masterpieces, and operatic favourites.
Maestro Zubin Mehta's return to the SOI is among the most anticipated highlights. Reflecting on his return, Khushroo N. Suntook, chairman of the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) and co-founder of the SOI, shared, "Maestro Zubin Mehta's return to the SOI is always a momentous occasion. When he first heard the orchestra last year, we had a small surprise by having them perform a piece from Petrushka as he entered the auditorium. Astonished by their skill, he remarked that he was very pleased with the orchestra's performance, even with fewer rehearsals than anticipated."
