The Divine Defence Picture this: A tractor in Rajasthan‘s Banswara district,a group of loan agents closing in to seize it and the defaulting farmer and his family standing by.

- NAOREM ANUJA

It Happens ONLY IN INDIA

As the agents edge closer to their prize, a woman from the household, the quick-thinking heroine of the day, unveiled other plans. In a desperate, yet audacious move, she faked divine possession to ward off the agents. Arms raised, eyes wide, possibly speaking in tongues (or just gibberish), she held her audience transfixed. Lo behold, a seemingly ordinary workday for the agents was now a date with divinity.

In the video doing the rounds, the woman channeling heavenly powers is seen cursing at the agents, while one of them tries to reason with her. He can be heard pleading that he was simply trying to do his job. We don’t know if the tractor stayed put, or despite the cosmic curses the agents did indeed seize the vehicle, but the story does serve as an inspiration for us to think outside the box—especially when the box is about to be repossessed!
