A post event journey of the recently concluded Timeless Wellness health talk

The Success of Timeless Wellness

Attending health talks, especially in-person ones, can be a transformative experience, when the topics are diverse and the speakers are renowned experts in their fields. On 18 May 2024, with the support of Depend, Menarini Group, Bausch + Lomb, Aox, Dr Rock and SKG, as well as esteemed speakers from Orchard Heart Specialist Clinic, PanAsia Surgery Group, Lang Eye Centre and Alps Orthopaedic Centre, Prime had the privilege of hosting Timeless Wellness for our readers (and beyond).

Even before the event started proper, the pre-event registration saw an opportunity for old friends to reconnect, and for participants to check out the event booths set up by Depend and Menarini. They were able to speak with the representatives from Depend and Menarini to find out more about their products. Indeed, they were even able to obtain free samples of Depend’s incontinence products, while Menarini were providing free cholesterol readings for them. There was much eagerness to gain as much knowledge as possible about various health concerns that could impact their lives or the lives of their loved ones.

UNDERSTANDING CHEST PAIN SAVES LIVES BY DR. TAN SVENSZEAT

The first talk began with Dr. Tan Svenszeat, an interventional cardiologist from Orchard Heart Specialist Clinic. Dr. Tan’s presentation was a crucial opener, focusing on the importance of recognising and understanding chest pain. He explained on the different causes of chest pain, especially five types which can be life-threatening if they are not addressed immediately (heart attack, lung collapse, clots in the lungs, oesophageal rupture and tear of the aorta), their characteristics, and the critical steps to take when you see someone experiencing such chest pain.
