Born on Valentine's Day and living in the heart-shaped state of Tasmania, Sarah De Jonge feels like she was destined to create a business centred around hearts.

The mother of two was overcoming personal grief nearly a decade ago when she set herself a challenge. The task? To hand-sew 1000 tiny felt hearts for people in need.

“During my career working in supportive and counselling roles in non-profit organisations, I've witnessed despair, fury, heartbreak and brokenness,” Sarah, 49, tells New Idea.
