SALT SPRINGS BREWERY

Built in 1899, this former Methodist church operated for nearly 100 years before it was refurbished into the stunning space you see today. Cheeky additions for the brewery include a Michelangelo-esque ceiling mural of a hand bringing hops to life. Since its 2018 debut, the Cashmere Zeppelin IPA has been a fan favorite, snagging a Best in Fest award at that year's Detroit Fall Beer Festival. Behind the scenes, brewmaster Ed Brosius—a trained metallurgist—uses precise water chemistry to ensure every beer is clean and balanced.

MUST GO The brewery's chef, Loren Halprin, hosts a monthly five-course pairing dinner showcasing regional ingredients alongside local brews, wines, and cocktails.
