From record-breaking sales to milestone debuts, the festive month of October had the Indian auto scene firing on all cylinders

Navratri, Diwali, Dussehra and the festive fervour throughout the month of October meant record sales of automobiles in India.

The celebrations spilled onto the roads as India recorded its highest-ever auto sales. Mercedes-Benz clocked an astounding 10 to 12 cars every hour during Navratri, while Tata Motors moved over a lakh vehicles between Navratri and Diwali. The month also saw the debut of Bentley's swanky new Mumbai showroom, Maserati adding two new thoroughbreds to its lineup, and TVS fuelling the adventure segment with the RTX 300. Triumph, not one to be left behind, rolled out a limited-edition track scorcher. Here's a look at everything that made October 2025 one for the record books.

CARS

ŠKODA OCTAVIA RS

Price: Rs 49.99 lakh

Imported as a limited-run model (100 units), the Octavia RS gets a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine producing 265 hp and 370 Nm, paired with a 7-speed DSG. Claimed sprint from 0-100 kmph in 6.4 s and a top speed of 250 kmph. Sporting touches include blacked-out trim, 19-inch aero-optimised alloys, an RS body kit and five exterior colour options. Inside, it packs a large 13-inch infotainment screen, a 10.25-inch driver's display, 11-speaker Canton sound system, 360-degree camera, Matrix LED headlights and more. Unfortunately, you can't buy one because it was sold out within 20 minutes of being launched on our shores.

Price: Rs 4.12 crore
