The holidays are undeniably centered around food — or at least they seem that way. But really, they're about family, friends, and the time spent together. It's about the conversations, the phototaking, and reminiscing about past holidays with loved ones. We share stories about recipes and proudly use dishes passed down from our mothers and grandmothers. I still have a pasta bowl from 1984 that I use to this day — 40 years with the same dish is quite something.

The kitchen is the heart of the home. Whether it's a holiday feast or an everyday meal, everyone always gathers around the kitchen table. It's where we talk, share, and open our hearts. During the holidays, my house can get pretty hectic. With kids and six grandchildren, there’s always a lot of company. Sometimes, they host a holiday or two, which is a nice break for me. Since my place is smaller, I have to get creative with how I plan and host gatherings.
