50 YEARS OF EDC A Golden Milestone in Goa's Economic Journey

In the heart of Goa's capital, on the evening of March 15, 2025, the Panjim Gymkhana alive with celebration, nostalgia, and a shared sense of purpose as EDC Limited, Goa's premier financial institution, marked its 50th anniversary.

A golden jubilee celebration of this magnitude was only fitting for a corporation that has shaped the very fabric of the state's economic and industrial development since its inception on March 12, 1975.

A Gathering of Visionaries

The event brought together an illustrious assembly of individuals who have been pivotal in EDC's five-decade journey-past and present employees, Board members, Chairmen, and esteemed stakeholders, all gathered under one roof to celebrate an enduring legacy.

The evening was graced by the presence of Hon. Chief Minister of Goa, Dr. Pramod Sawant, who led the felicitation of EDC's former Chairmen-Shri. Sadanand Shet Tanavade, Shri. Krishna Kuttikar, Shri. Felix De Lima, Shri. Siddharth Kunkolienkar, Shri. Santosh Kenkre-and the first employee of the Corporation, Shri. Arvind Mauzo, marking a deeply emotional and significant moment in the history of EDC.

Other dignitaries in attendance included some of Goa's most respected business and thought leaders-Shri. Srinivas Dempo, Shri. Nitin Kunkolienkar, Shri. Uday Kamat, Shri. Ralph Dsouza, Shri. Yatin Parikh, Shri. P. S. Reddy, Shri. Sanjay Satardekar, and Shri. Sandip Bhandare. Also present were all past Managing Directors of EDC, offering their blessings and sharing fond memories of the corporation's remarkable journey.
