Property Market experts agree that 2025 presents a more positive outlook for the property market in South Africa than in recent years, with stabilising interest rates and renewed buyer confidence driving a stronger demand.

Research shows that a well-presented exterior can increase your home’s value, making outdoor maintenance one of the smartest pre-sale upgrades a homeowner can make. It also highlights the significant impact that landscaping quality can have on a property’s resale value.

“First impressions matter, and for many buyers, that starts with the front garden,” says Timothy Isabirye, Marketing Manager for Husqvarna South Africa. “If a garden looks in need of attention, it could mean a hard pass, and even if a prospective buyer is not completely deterred, it gives them an easy excuse to negotiate a lower price.”
