Where do you start when styling a memorable table?

Start with one standout element on the table whether it's the linens, a dramatic centrepiece, or a grand candle stand. Ensure that every other detail complements it and aligns with the mood you want to set.

How do you add depth and personality through layering?

I love creating contrast and a sense of juxtaposition. I usually start with a bold, solid base and layer it with printed serviettes and rich crockery or the other way around. Giving smaller details a moment, like quirky napkin rings, distinctive glassware, or statement show plates adds depth and interest.

How do you bring a modern twist to a traditional festive table?

It's about using simple materials in fresh, inventive ways. Traditional mogra flowers, for example, can be strung into abstract, sculptural installations, or a dramatic brocade tablecloth can take centre stage while the rest of the setting stays minimal just candles and soft lighting, no florals. You could even swap candles for dim lamps or experiment with the table shape instead of sticking to a conventional rectangle.
