“This is one of the smallest kitchens we’ve ever done,” confides Kasia Piorko, founder of kitchen design company Kate Feather. “It doesn’t look that small in the photos but in reality it is. It’s just a little over four metres by two.” For comparison, the average UK kitchen occupies about 12 square metres, so this one in Notting Hill really is on the petite side. In such a small space, surely the owners wanted something simple? Nope. They requested a bold Parisian look, plus an island and lots of storage. Enter Kate Feather.
Kasia Piorko started her career as a CAD technician for a cabinetmaker, before moving into kitchen design and interior architecture. Her practical approach is what makes this space a success. K&H Design had been brought in as the interior designer for the entire home, and the collaboration with Kate Feather produced show-stopping results.
