The single-storey flat-roofed addition is defined by vast floor-to-ceiling sliding glass panels, framing uninterrupted views of the garden - along with distant views of the south Cambridgeshire countryside - and flooding the open-plan interior with natural light, aided by a pair of generously sized rooflights. A crisp metal-clad structure creates the illusion of a floating corner, while a projecting roof canopy offers passive solar shading in summer. From the garden, sight lines run through the new space
