Sustainable architecture is often misconstrued as opposed to technology, difficult to maintain or time-consuming to construct. Is there a better rebuttal than a net-zero bunker in a remote, rugged mountainous outpost? R+D Studio founded by Shridhar Rao and Shikha Doogar, designed a pilot of the Permanent Defence (Bunker) at 14,000 ft near Razdan Pass in Jammu and Kashmir, entrusted by the Indian Army’s 2 Engineer Regiment of the Chinar Corps.
