PCI restores admission status to 89 institutions in Maharashtra

THE Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has restored its earlier order denying permission to 89 pharmacy institutions, including 71 D. Pharm institutions and 18 B. Pharm institutions, in the State of Maharashtra to of fer admission to the relevant courses for the first year, for the academic year 202526, following an order from the High Court of Bombay.

Earlier, the permission was restored to 42 pharmacy institutions, including eight B Pharm and 34 D Pharm institutions, after an order from the Court, and based on the report from the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE) under the State Directorate of Technical Education (DTE).

The Council, referring to an order issued by the High Court of Judicature at Bombay Bench at Aurangabad on October 13, has now said that "...PCI has restored the 'Not to make admission' status mentioned in the PCI circular dt.26.09.2025 based on Government of Maharashtra letter dt.15.09.2025".
