TABLE Manners
Condé Nast House & Garden
|May - June 2025
From the play of natural light to the intentional selection of materials, these rooms prove that a well-designed dining space can be both an invitation to linger and a work of art in its own right
Colour theory
Farrow and Ball's olive paint plays a pivotal role in this space, with its deep, rich tones elegantly weaving together the natural elements to create a sophisticated harmony. Natural textures abound, from the striped jute rug, oak flooring, railroad beams on the ceiling and raw, unlacquered brass accents. The layers of varying woods introduce a soft, country-inspired charm, while the jute rug and woven dining chairs bring durability and an earthy appeal — ideal for a home filled with children and pets. The goal was to marry traditional style with a contemporary elegance that honours the home's original features while embracing its functionality.
