IF THERE’s one word that instantly evokes an upmarket farm shop, flushed full of beautifully presented produce and teeming with well-heeled shoppers, it is Daylesford. Founder Lady Bamford’s interest in organic farming and holistic living started many years before this Cotswolds farm shop opened in 2002 but, once in business, it set the bar.
“Over 40 years ago, I had a simple idea to farm and produce nourishing organic food while simultaneously giving back to our land. Everything I’ve sought to do since then has been rooted in the same philosophy: to protect and work with nature rather than against it,” she says.
