It's been three years since we last saw ex-detective Alex Ridley (Adrian Dunbar), who lost his wife and daughter in an arson attack meant for him. And while he's trying to move on through his work as a police consultant alongside his former protégée DI Carol Farman (Bronagh Waugh), the grief remains ever-present, as we see when the four-part drama returns.
