Why Alan Titchmarsh's adorable canine co-star Titch deserves a round of ap-paws

Alan Titchmarsh is looking forward to a special reunion on Love Your Weekend this Sunday: his pawsome friend, trainee guide dog Titch, is paying a visit!Only he's not such a 'titch' any more, with the golden retriever-Labrador cross viewers first met in October 2024 as a nine-week-old puppy now grown up and embarking on the next step in his journey to becoming a fully fledged guide dog.

Titch - who was named after Alan by sight-loss charity Guide Dogs as part of its annual appeal for volunteers and fundraising - has spent the past year learning the fundamentals needed for the role with help from his volunteer 'puppy raisers' Jacqui and Alan Falder. And he'll be demonstrating some of his abilities when he returns to the ITV1 show's Hampshire base with his new trainer, Jackie Kent.

Here, in an exclusive interview, Jackie, who has been training guide dogs for over 30 years, tells TV Times how Titch is already top of the class...
