Paul tells Todd that he’s planning an assisted death

Billy was horrified when, earlier in the summer, Paul asked for his help to end his life when the time felt right... and hugely relieved when, following his heartfelt words about wanting to cherish every second they had left together, his ailing partner appeared to backtrack.

But 'appeared' is the operative word. Paul was clearly unconvinced by the vicar's speech, and this week he tells Todd he wants an assisted death as his symptoms of motor neurone disease progress.
