Directed by Noah Baumbach, the film follows veteran actor Jay Kelly (Clooney) as he embarks on an epic journey of self-discovery following the death of his mentor, Peter (Jim Broadbent), and a subsequent awkward encounter with an old friend, Tim (Billy Crudup), at the funeral.
