Harry Potter's Matthew Lewis is a crime-solving clergyman

The Reverend Richard Coles' debut novel Murder Before Evensong enchanted millions of readers when it was published in 2022, and now it comes to 5 in a six-part adaptation starring Harry Potter's Matthew Lewis.

Set in the 1980s in the fictional village of Champton, the series begins with Canon Daniel Clement (Lewis) discovering a dead body in his church. The killing sends shock waves through the community, and when DS Neil Vanloo (Amit Shah) arrives to investigate, Daniel is forced to look at his parishioners in a new light.
