Best known for his Michelin stars and impressing food critics with experimental recipes like snail porridge and bacon-and-egg ice cream, Heston Blumenthal is one of Britain's top chefs.

But in 2023, he started having hallucinations and suicidal thoughts. His behaviour was so extreme that his wife, Melanie Ceysson, had him sectioned, and, during two months of psychiatric treatment, he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
