Jimmy Doherty on his mission to save two polar bears doomed to die

More than 20 years ago, Jimmy Doherty opened a pig farm in rural Suffolk, which he has since turned into a wildlife park, home to tapirs, monkeys, emus and a giant anteater.

Then in 2022, the farmer and TV presenter received a phone call from an expert asking if he could rehome two polar bears from a wildlife park in Sweden. The mission led to one of the biggest and most expensive challenges of Doherty's farming career.
