The 48th Annual Kennedy Center Honors

WASHINGTON, D.C.'S CELEBRATION of performing artists this year honors actor Sylvester Stallone, Broadway star Michael Crawford (Phantom of the Opera), rock band Kiss, and country crooner George Strait, all of whom received medals inside the Oval Office from President Trump on December 7 for their lifetime achievements. Since 1978, crowds have gathered at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts to recognize artists who have made significant cultural contributions that span decades.
