Prince Andrew Forced to Give Up Royal Title

Prince Andrew has relinquished use of his Duke of York title—given to him by his late mother, Queen Elizabeth, in 1986—and other royal honors amid ongoing scrutiny over his ties to late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. In an Oct. 17 statement King Charles’s younger brother, 65, said, “The continued accusations about me distract from the work of His Majesty and the Royal Family.”
