THE PALACE'S ATTEMPT TO DOWNPLAY KATE'S FASHION CHOICES HAS SPARKED BACKLASH, LEADING TO A DEBATE: SHOULD HER WARDROBE CONTINUE TO STEAL THE SPOTLIGHT?

On Jan. 30 Princess Kate did something she’d never previously done on an official outing: she stopped her convoy soon after it pulled away from a knitwear factory in Wales, got out of her car and dashed across the road to address a group of well-wishers. “Who was calling?” she joyfully asked before chatting animatedly with Lily Rose Logan, 3, who’d been shouting, “Hello, Princess!” with mom Stacey Chorley, 39. “She did a little run over, like she was excited to meet Lily,” says Chorley. “The fact that she wanted to do that is just lovely. It melts my heart.”
