The War and Treaty almost ended before it even began. The musical duo composed of husband-and-wife singers Michael Trotter Jr. and Tanya Trotter have won the adoration of millions with their signature brand of R&B-infused country rock. But when they met at a Maryland music festival in 2010, Michael tossed Tanya's number in the trash. "I was very broken and hurt, and I had a lot going on," Michael, 42, recalls of the day he met his future wife, 52, whom he'd had a crush on since childhood after seeing her sing in the 1993 movie Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit. "My insecurities jumped in the way."
